            Specialty of Material Physics
  The material physics science is just unfolding and developing vigorously now. It is the core of the material science, which is one of the three major fields of scientific research in the 21st century. Advanced material science and technology is not only the foundation of advanced productivity and economical development, but also represents the development level and orientation of science and technology. The specialty of material physics is geared towards the training of students to become experts in material physics who can master systematically the basic theory and techniques in material science, have the basic knowledge and skills related to material physics, and engage in research, teaching, scientific and technological development and related management in the field of material science and technology. The major courses of the specialty are: modern physics, solid state physics, material physics, functional material, information material, electrotechnics, techniques for electronics, quantum mechanics, semiconductor physics, inorganic chemistry, sensor principle and application, modern electronic material technology, microcomputer principle, basic computer and the application of computer in material.

        Specialty of Electronic Science and Technology
  The electronic science and technology, which is fundamental for information science and technology, has vast prospects . The information science is one of the three major fields of scientific research in the 21st century and its birth and development are all the time closely related to the forward science and technology and advanced productivity. After being trained, the students of the specialty will master wide and solid basic theory of photoelectronics or microelectronics, physical electronics, and have experimental abilities and professional knowledge. They can become advanced engineering and technological experts going in for the research and development in the aspects of new techniques, new products, new materials, and new technology. The major courses of the electronic science and technology specialty are: basic circuit, computer language, microcomputer principle, electric dynamics, quantum mechanics, analog circuit, digital circuit, solid state physics, semiconductor physics, sensor technology, electromagnetic field theory, laser principle and experiment, engineering optics, signal and its system, sensor principle and application, optical fiber communication, photoelectric technology and experiment, basic photo-electronics.
