¡¡¡¡According to 2003-2010 discipline building program,
great importance is attached to the investment in discipline building,
fostering the introduction of talents and the setting up of the first-class
computation technology and mathematical modeling laboratories, which
brings about a good effect. 20 talents have been introduced and 2
teachers are pursuing doctor¡¯s degree and 3 are pursuing master¡¯s
degree. Scientific research level is improved and more and more scientific
research projects are applied for from provincial foundation and Provincial
Education Ministry. What¡¯s more, the department has applied for Mathematics
and Applied Mathematics major this year and is to apply for the doctor¡¯s
program in applied mathematics.
