¡¡¡¡Among the full-time teachers, there are 8 professors,
13 associate professors, 15 lecturers, and 9 doctors and doctorate
pursuiters in the department. Additionally, some of them are the training
objects of Innovative Elites Project, the prizewinners of Scientific
Funds For Outstanding Youth in Henan Province, and some are the trans-century
academic and technological leaders in Henan Province, and the provincial-level
excellent experts and core teachers.
¡¡¡¡Food Engineering, which began to enroll undergraduate students from1980,
is the earliest one in Henan province. Especially, the specialty of
tobacco engineering enjoys the prestige of ¡°cradle of elites¡± in the
whole field of tobacco industry. The major of bioengineering, established
in 1989, also enrolled undergraduate students earliest. Now, graduates
from this major have become backbones of science and technology in
the most famous biotechnology and bioengineering enterprises. In recent
years, with the ever-growing demand for the talents with high qualities,
the students are greatly involved in the craze for postgraduate study,
and postgraduate enrollment quotas have been at the top of the whole
Institute for several years in succession. Most of them have been
enrolled by key universities as the postgraduates.
