Electronic Machinery and Electronic Equipment
(Master¨s Degree)
This specialty is among the earliest ones in Zhengzhou Institute of
Light Industry (ZZILI) which were conferred Master¨s Degrees by the
State Academic Degree Appraisal Committee. It belongs to a provincial
key discipline: Electronic Machinery and Electronic Equipment. The
^electrical equipment lab ̄ is a ministerial key lab of the former
Ministry of Light Industry. At present, there are several research
institutes as ^Fuzzy Controlling Technology Center ̄, ^Control Engineering
Institute ̄ and so on. It has a large contingent of teachers with solid
theoretical foundation, abundant practical experience and courageous
pioneering spirit. Among them, 12 are professors and associate professors,
18 are masters and doctors. The department has adequate rooms for
teaching, experiments and equipment. It maintains close and fine cooperation
with many large enterprises.
The research of this subject aims at serving the nation¨s economical
constructions. The research projects are mainly state-supported ones
or those that are in urgent need of many enterprises. It has taken
on more than 20 scientific research projects and one provincial project
supported by the Innovation Talents Fund.
Currently, this subject includes five sections:
1. Application and Research of informational electronic technology
2. Application and Research of intelligent control technology
3.Application and Research of intelligent sensor technology and
electromagnetism reliability technology
4. Research of intelligent testing and control system.
5. Application and Research of modern control technology
Testing Metrological Technology and Equipment
(Master¨s Degree)
There is a contingent of teachers with high political consciousness
and academic level and rational knowledge and age frame. The courses
offered to the post!graduates are well arranged, and taught by excellent
teachers. The department owns several well!equipped provincial key
labs. It has undertaken more than 20 state and provincial ministerial
projects independently and some others jointly with certain enterprises,
with sufficient funding support. Its research institutes are ^Institute
of the Reliability of Electrical Equipment ̄, ^Fuzzy Controlling
Technology Center ̄, ^Appliance Institute ̄ and ^Gas!sensible Materials
Institute ̄.
The master¨s degree was mainly set up to study the changes of
various electrical equipments¨ working states, to test and control
their performance, to complete the design of testing metrological
equipments with modern intelligence technology, data and information
processing technology, modern testing technology, computer technology,
internet and communication technology and the new sensing technology.
The projects under research have close tie with national economy,
consequently the demand for the talents in this field is huge.
This subject contains three sections:
1.Detection of industry process and auto technology. Students
study the industrial online testing and automatic control system
by using modern control theory, sensing technology, computer monitor
technology, field bus technology and servo control technology.
2.Networking measurement and control technology and application.
The integration between this technology and computer technology
is a new trend of the modern information science and testing technology.
Students in this section mainly study all kinds of testing signals
and communication signals which, through digitized processing, form
information network system with Internet.
3.Multimedia information processing and intelligent meter technology.
Providing multimedia information processing and service through
network (LAN and WAN) is a revolutionary development in the field
of information. Students majoring in this section mainly study multimedia
communication technology which combines computer, communication
with radio and TV.
Detection Technology and Automatic Equipment
(Master¨s Degree)
The structure of the teacher group is rational. There are 3 professors,
10 associate professors and 5 lecturers, among whom 9 are masters
and 2 are studying for doctorate degrees. The teachers are of high
academic levels, qualified for their jobs and active!minded. They
carried on reformations on course system and teaching contents and
undertook a number of provincial scientific research projects which
were awarded several provincial appraisals and prizes. Faculty members
have published over 50 academic papers in journals both domestic
and abroad and more than 10 works and textbooks.
The sections included in this subject are as follows.

Automation Engineering (Undergraduate)
This specialty, composed of three disciplines as Controlling Science
and Technology, Electric Science and Engineering, Computer Science
and Engineering, is one with wide adaptability. It¨s a four!year
education system, aiming at fostering senior engineering technicians
on analysis design, operation and research and development of the
automatic control system in the fields of movement controlling,
process controlling, detection and automation meter, electronic
and computer technology and information processing. Students study
theories and techniques concerning electronic technology, detection
and meter, automatic controlling theories, computer theory principle
and application, software technology, Internet, computer controlling
system, process controlling, movement controlling, artificial intelligence,
etc. Students of this specialty can establish a solid foundation
of basic theories and amass a wide range of knowledge. They are
capable of practical work in a comprehensive project concerning
this major. Graduates of this specialty are fully prepared for the
jobs of design research, operation, technique development and teaching
in the areas of automatic control of electric traction promote,
production controlling and computer controlling system.
Electric Engineering and Automation (Undergraduate)
This new specialty is combined with electronic mechanics. Based
on the discipline of electrical equipment, this specialty aims at
fostering senior engineering technicians with wide adaptability
in the areas of system operation, automatic control, electronic
power technology, information processing, detection analysis and
research and development of household appliances, relating to electrical
engineering. The study of this specialty lasts four years. During
that period, students can establish a wide range of basic and professional
knowledge of electric engineering technology, principles and application
of single chip processor, computer technology, etc. After receiving
the basic training on electric engineering, intelligent control,
information processing, computer control technology and electric
control technology, students are trained to do project design and
solve some technical problems concerning electric engineering and
controlling. Graduates can go for some jobs like the design, manufacturing,
detection and maintenance of household appliances as well as research
and teaching work in this field.
Electronic Information Engineering (Undergraduate)
This specialty is set up for the four-year undergraduates. It
is a comprehensive specialty whose disciplines are electronic engineering,
communication engineering and computer science technology. It aims
at fostering senior engineering technicians engaged in jobs like
scientific research and development, products design, production
management and system maintenance in the fields of application of
electronic technology, information processing, design application
and testing of information communication system. Students of this
specialty mainly study the professional theoretical knowledge and
practical skills of basic science, electronic technology, signal
processing technology, communication engineering technology, computer
science and technology and sensing testing technology. After learning
all these courses, they will master the basic technical theories,
professional knowledge and improve comprehensive professional qualities.
Graduates can take relevant jobs in research institutes, high and
new technology units, universities, and government departments.
Applied Electronic Technology (Three!year Undergraduate)
This is a three!year undergraduate specialty, aiming at fostering
advanced technicians with adequate basic professional theoretical
knowledge, strong sense of engineering and practical skills meeting
market¨s demands. The courses offered are: electric circuit, simulated
electronic technology, digital electronic technology, high!frequency
electronic technology, power electronic technology, modern TV technology,
computer principle, single chip processor principle, the design
of single chip processor¨s application system, EDA technology and
application, detection and sensing technology, computer interface
technology, computer network, programming, modern integrated circuit
and application, modern controller application, etc.
Electronic and Information Technology (Three!year Undergraduate)
The three!year undergraduate specialty aims at fostering senior
technicians, who, with proficient practical skills, master the basic
professional theoretical knowledge in this field, and is suited
to take jobs on system design, setup, debugging, maintenance and
development of software as well as hardware. The courses offered
are: electrical engineering technology, electronic technology, mimic
circuit, digital circuit, high!frequency circuit, signal transportation
principle, modern TV technology, sensing technology, C programming,
data base application, computer practical software, interface technology,
computer operating system, computer information network, multimedia
information technology, setup and maintenance of computer system,
introduction to modern information technology and field practices.
