Basing on machinery, combining with many modern sciences like computer
automation and sensing testing, it seeks to cultivate high-level talents
in the research, design and manufacturing of mechatronics and mechanical
equipment system, high and new technology development and administration.
They will be well equipped with the knowledge of basic mechanical
engineering technology, automatic control technology, computer technology,
information processing technology, modern design methods, market economy,
industry administration and design theory and methods that are found
on modern information technology. This specialty is further divided
into three sections: mechanical manufacturing, machinery electronic
engineering and mechanical design and automation, which will be offered
to the juniors for their choices.
Heat Energy and Power Engineering
(Refrigeration and air-conditioner)
This is one of the special majors in the institute, offered to
the four-year undergraduates. To meet the demands of market, it
cultivates high scientifically qualified senior engineering technicians
in the research and development of refrigeration, air-conditioner
and low temperature engineering, design manufacturing, refrigeration
technological design and operation administration. The main subjects
of this specialty are: mechanics and engineering, thermal physics.
Students will receive the basic training for engineers and master
many modern design methods like refrigeration and air-conditioning
technology, refrigeration and air-conditioning equipments design
and manufacturing, refrigeration and air-conditioning automatic
control, computer-aided design and optimized design as well as profound
and broad basic theories as computer application, etc. Graduates
will be qualified for the design, manufacturing, development and
research of refrigerating air-conditioner, the teaching and research
work at colleges and universities and scientific research departments,
and the design, manufacturing, research, development and operation
administration in many fields as refrigerator, air-conditioner,
food, refrigerating air-conditioning equipments, utility service,
service industries, etc.
Mechanical Design Manufacturing and Automation
(Machinery electronic engineering)
This is a four-year specialty, aiming at fostering senior engineering
technician in design manufacturing scientific development, application
research, and operation administration of mecharonics. Students
will have a good command of the basic knowledge of the theories
of mechanical design manufacturing, automatic control technology,
information processing technology and modern design.
At school, students are required to obtain various technologies
principles, basic and professional knowledge concerning this area,
and some design abilities which are listed as follows: mechanical
drawing, computer application, electronic mechanical principles,
mechanical design, mechanical and electronic transmission control,
testing technology, hydraulic and barometric transmission, auto-machine
controlling principles, single chip processor principle and application,
fundamental of control engineering, numerically controlled processing
technology, equipment administration, electrical and mechanical
equipment, computer integrated manufacturing system, electronic
circuit and control system.
In the new situation, the study of certain courses like English
and computer are highlighted, so that students can handle with proficiency
of computer-aided design, numerically controlled programming, the
emulation and analysis of electronic circuit and the application
of programmable controller. After class, students get their ability
trained to operate and to do scientific research and development
through field practices of metalworking practice, electrical engineering
fieldwork, production fieldwork, and graduation fieldwork as well
as graduation project.
Graduates are fully prepared for the development, design manufacturing,
operation administration and marketing of mechatronic products as
well as teaching work.
Mechanical Design Manufacturing and Automation
(Mechanical design and automation)
This is a four-year specialty. Basing on machinery, integrating
with many modern sciences like computer, automation and sensing
testing, its education purpose is to foster talents who are fully
developed in morality, intelligence and physical health. Students
will graduate as senior engineering technicians in mechanical design
and manufacturing, microelectronic technology, computer application
technology and information processing. The main subjects of this
specialty are: mechanics and design engineering. Students will take
certain basic courses and professional basic courses as mechanical
drawing, mechanical principles, and mechanics of materials, theoretical
mechanics, hydraulic transmission, engineering thermal treatment,
mechanical design,
fundamentals of machinery manufacturing engineering, electrical
engineering and electronic technology. The fields that their studies
concern are auto-machine principles and design, fundamentals of
mechanical engineering, modern design theory and methods, most optimized
mechanical design, electronic mechanical design, CAD/CAM technology,
electronic electric engineering technology, automatic control of
electrical equipment, programmable controller, design methodic.
Additionally, some relevant courses are offered according to the
features of this specialty, for example, computer principles and
application, numerical control technology, factory electric control,
business management of modern industries, etc.
Students amass profound basic knowledge and practical experiences
through much practical work like metalworking practice, electrical

Mechanical Design Manufacturing and Automation
(Mechanical manufacturing and automation)
The study in this specialty lasts for four years and the main
subjects are mechanics and mechanical production engineering and
computer technology. The education purpose of this specialty is
to foster senior engineering technician in the design, manufacturing,
testing and research of mechanical manufacturing technology and
process automation.
In line with the principle of ^highlighting base, broadening specialties,
verifying the directions, strengthening abilities, improving qualities ̄,
basic training for engineers is offered. Students are required to
master the following basic theories: mechanical manufacturing technology
and equipment design, technology process automation, computer-aided
manufacturing, numerical-control processing technology, special
processing technologies, mechanical processing technology, modern
design methods, etc.
By taking many practices like after class experiments, metalworking
practice, electrical engineering fieldwork, production fieldwork
and graduation fieldwork, course project and graduation project,
students receive training to cultivate their abilities to operate,
create and draft machining, assembly technological process, and
the electrical system relating to mechanical equipment, cutter and
chucking appliance while mastering profound basic and professional
knowledge. All these practices will lead their way to the field
of modern design manufacturing method and automatic control.
Graduates can go in for technical, teaching and research work
in enterprises, scientific research units and colleges and universities.
Measurement and Control Technology and Instrument
As a four-year undergraduate specialty, it takes as its main education
purpose to foster innovative senior engineering technicians with
a good command of modern measurement technology combining machinery,
optic, electrics computer, precision instrument manufacturing, basic
knowledge and applying ability on measurement and controlling. The
main subjects of this specialty are mechanics, electronics and testing
and control technology.
The studies at school will equip students with some professional
knowledge in the design of precision machinery and instrument, fundamentals
of analog electronic technology, numerically electricity circuit
and electric technology, microcomputer principles and application,
fundamentals of control engineering, signal analysis and processing,
engineering optics and fundamentals of sensitometry technology.
Graduates can do the following work: collection and processing
of information industry, design and manufacture of instruments and
system, science and technology research and development, application
research, teaching and administration in the field of the measurement
and control of information industry or at business circle, financial
circle, scientific research in universities and institutes.
