The production of executive system (MES) is a very important step
that will be taken in the course of informational engineering. It
is an executive layer lies between the planning layer (MRPII/ERP)
and the operating system of workshop layer and is responsible for
production administration and scheduling implement. The MES system
is integrated, flexible, open, self-organized, self-adjusted and
able to restructure. All of these qualities play an important role
in the optimized operation and quick responds of production at workshop.
A few MES software has been put into the foreign markets but not
yet in domestic market. The development of MES can fill in the blanks
in China and on the other hand provides informational integrated
software products for the information projects of manufacturing
industry.
