  At present, both CAD and CAM technology have been very well developed; especially the design of 3D CAD becomes more and more visual. Now he is working on a ^863 Plan ̄ project!quantitative technical model building and technical deformation design tools basing on 3D. The research¨ purposes are as follows. To counter the problems of quantitative technical design under 3D environment, researches should be carried out on quantitative technical design model basing on 3D, and technical deformation design methods and relative evaluation methods, to pave the way for the development of quantitative technical model building and technical deformation design prototype based on 3D with independent intellectual property rights and the function of auxiliary intelligent visual navigation, so as to realize the quantitative technical model building and technical deformation design of spare parts quickly and precisely.

  Research Direction: software development of MRPII/ERP/MES and system integration
  The production of executive system (MES) is a very important step that will be taken in the course of informational engineering. It is an executive layer lies between the planning layer (MRPII/ERP) and the operating system of workshop layer and is responsible for production administration and scheduling implement. The MES system is integrated, flexible, open, self-organized, self-adjusted and able to restructure. All of these qualities play an important role in the optimized operation and quick responds of production at workshop.

  A few MES software has been put into the foreign markets but not yet in domestic market. The development of MES can fill in the blanks in China and on the other hand provides informational integrated software products for the information projects of manufacturing industry.

  Intelligent control system is a challenging and active area in world¨s automation discipline. It results from the combination and infiltration between relating disciplines. Thus it has broad prospects in the field of light industry. Here, the intelligent control of the electromechincal system of light industry refers to light industry-oriented process control with the ability to study and make decisions.

  The main objects of the study are: intelligent instruments and meters, intelligent household appliances, intelligent production equipment for light industry products.

  Its significance lies in putting the new theories and technologies of intelligent control system into the practice of strengthening the performance of light industry products, improving their qualities and reducing the cost of production.
