Material and Chemical Engineering College

　　Material and chemical engineering institute, based on the former chemical department, is one of the sub-institutes in ZZILI.

　　Now the institute has 70 teachers, including 1 academician, 12 professors, 30 senior engineers, 10 doctors, and 5 young provincial-level core teachers. All of them have master’s degree. The MCEI has the right to entitle master’s degree in applied chemistry, material and chemical technology. The MCEI has a key lab for analysis and test and polymer materials (including 7 sub research offices), and the Battery Technique Training Center attached to the Battery Industry Association is also an important part of the institute.

　　The MCEI is composed of six sectors (chemical engineering and technology department, material science and engineering department, process equipment and control engineering department, elementary chemistry teaching unit and lab center). The students on campus are over 1500.

　　With the development of MCEI, the institute also pays attention to the academic exchanges and cooperation, some famous academicians and specialists, such as Yang Jinzong, Jin Yong, Cheng Rongshi, and Li Junxian, etc, have been invited to give lectures successively. It also cooperates with Beijing Science and Technology University and Dalian university of Science and Engineering, to train doctors jointly. In recent years, the MCEI has finished more than 60 projects, all of which have passed the evaluation and examination on provincial and national levels. Over 10 projects has gained ministerial and provincial advancement awards, and nearly 40 books have been published and 70 articles are included in international periodicals such as, SCI, EI, CA, and etc.

　　To make full use of the special advantages of our professional features, MCEI has worked jointly with companies and factories to carry out research projects. It also stresses on the cultivations of students' qualities and abilities. With its strict, scientific and pragmatic attitudes, it has provided high talented graduates who are greatly welcomed by the employers.
