ˇˇˇˇThe college attaches importance to the selection
and cultivation of excellent teachers with cultivation as the main
method and introduction as the supplementary one. The perfect system
of cultivation and selection and the cozy working atmosphere ensure
the stability of the staff. Therefore, the college has a contingent
of teachers who are experienced and knowledgeable and very active
in academic thinking. It is characterized by the high qualifications
of its teachers, who are different in age and experience. Of 43 full
time teachers, 11 are associate professors, 17 are lecturers, 2 are
masters and 7 are on-the-job masters. Most of them have graduated
from the famous domestic universities and enjoy high reputation in
the design field. All of them, with high aspiration and devotion to
the education cause, educate the person as well as impart book knowledge
and become paragons of virtue.
ˇˇˇˇHighlighted by the first class teaching and research environment,
strong faculty and scientific management, the college ensures the
fostering of design talents and also attracts many students from all
over the country. At present, the college has an enrollment of 1,200.
Many of the students had the honor to win international and domestic
design awards. For example, ˇ°Visual error areaˇ±, the work from Chenduo,
was selected into ˇ°Calioˇ± Global Work Exhibition, 2001. Furniture
design from Luo Xianqiang won the second prize in Nationwide Furniture
Design, 2003. And the clothing designed by Tan Yilin was awarded the
golden medal in ˇ°China Cupˇ± International Clothing Design Contest.
Now some graduates work as prominent designers in China. Some of them
were admitted into the colleges and universities to take up teaching
such as xiˇŻan Jiaotong university, Beijing Integrated University,
Jiangxi Financial Institute, Xuzhou Railway Institute, Nanchang Aerial
Administration Institute, Henan Normal University, Jiaozuo Engineering
Institute, etc. Some of them were admitted to work in some famous
corporations such as Haier Group and Meidi Group. All of them receive
acclaim from units and all circles in society and gain honor to the
college.
