¡¡¡¡Facing the challenges posed by the new century,
discipline building has been regarded as ¡° the key among the important¡±
factor in the development of ZZILI. Strengthening discipline building
and bringing forth academic brands in the field of design education
is of vital importance to the survival and development of the college.
Postgraduate education marks the teaching, study and research level
of the institute. Therefore, exploiting our twenty-year¡¯s schooling
advantage and bringing every positive factor into play, the college,
with the spirit of solidarity and initiative, took the whole situation
into consideration and made the detailed plan to apply for the bachelor
program. In 2003, it succeeded to be the first station entitled to
confer bachelor¡¯s degree on design in Henan Province, which acts as
an impetus for enhancing schooling of the college.
¡¡¡¡To meet the demand of the market and bring our schooling advantage
into full play, currently the college established two new majors:
Cartoon Design major and Fashion Show and Image Design major. Most
gratifying is that, the trailer made by Cartoon Design majors has
been adopted by provincial propaganda department and cultural department
and broadcasted on CCTV, and two Fashion Show and Image Design majors
have taken part in CCTV Clothing Design and Model Contest, 2003.
¡¡¡¡The college emphasizes the management on excellent academic groups
and key disciplines. Industrial art has been declared to be the key
discipline and academic group in industrial arts the excellent academic
group by ZZILI. With the aim of being chosen as the provincial key
discipline in 2006, the college draws up plans of working, training
and scientific research as well as measures of rewards and penalties.
By giving full play to collective wisdom, the staff members of the
college also take up the important research projects to extend social
influence of the college.
